Personnel changes for Visteon Corp., Johnson Controls Inc. and LoJack Corp.
DETROIT -- Visteon Corp. has named Martin Welch III CFO. He replaced William Quigley III, who left Visteon on Oct. 31. Welch reports directly to CEO Donald Stebbins.
Welch is responsible for all financial operations, including treasury, taxes, audits and investor relations. He also oversees divestitures, mergers and acquisitions.
Most recently, Welch was CFO for United Rentals Inc. and a member of its executive leadership team from 2005 through 2009. Earlier, he was CFO for Kmart Corp. and Federal-Mogul Corp., and held various positions at Chrysler Group.
BURSCHEID, Germany — Johnson Controls Inc. named Rainer Schmueckle COO of its seating components operation, effective Nov. 1.
In this newly created position, he will report directly to Beda Bolzenius, president of Johnson Controls’ Automotive Experience division.
Schmueckle, 51, will lead JCI’s seating components group, and will run its quality, engineering and purchasing organizations.
Previously, Schmueckle spent 25 years at Daimler AG. He was COO of Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Cars unit. He left the company in 2010.
WESTWOOD, Mass. - LoJack Corp. named Randy Ortiz CEO, effective Nov. 1.
Richard Riley, who had been chairman and CEO, will stay on as executive chairman through May 2012 to assist with the transition.
Ortiz is the former general manager of Ford and Lincoln-Mercury sales, a position he held from 2006 until he retired from Ford Motor Co. in 2010.
LoJack, of Westwood, Mass., produces anti-theft equipment.
