Regarding "Allstate pilot enables dealers to sell collision coverage" (Oct. 10): This is a perfect fit for the auto industry, particularly in California.
We rarely sell credit life and disability product as the profit margins are nominal and loss ratios can be high. However, given the opportunity to sell and cross-sell value-added insurance policies to comply with state law and our lender's requirements for financing, we could have another profitable business within our business.
I see faster payments for finance contracts as well as better customer satisfaction scores as a result of this program.
