Chrysler Group laid out its five-year future product plan in November 2009, less than six months out of its government-backed bankruptcy. Since that time, Bradford Wernle in Detroit and Luca Ciferri in Turin have kept on top of company's effort to revive and reinvent itself under the hard-driving management of Sergio Marchionne.
Wernle, who joined Automotive News in 1994, has been covering Chrysler since 2006, a span that has seen the company under three owners. He also has covered suppliers, marketing, used cars and retailing and spent six years in London with Automotive News Europe.
Ciferri has been covering Fiat and the Italian auto industry for Automotive News and Automotive News Europe for more than two decades.
