Kazumasa Kimura has been named the COO of supplier Denso International America Inc., effective June 22.
Kimura, 49, was also appointed executive director for parent company Denso Corp. He was previously director of Denso's global sales and business development division.
Denso International America has not had a COO since 2004, spokeswoman Bridgette LaRose Gollinger said.
Denso Corp., of Kariya, Japan, rank second on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers with worldwide parts sales to automakers of an estimated $32.85 billion in the fiscal year that ended March 31. Toyota Motor Corp. owns about 23 percent of Denso.
Denso International America, of suburban Detroit, ranks No. 3 on the Automotive News list of the top suppliers to North America with parts sales to automakers of an estimated $5.74 billion in the fiscal year that ended March 31.
