Here's a novel use for a closed Hummer dealership: Let National Football League players use it as a place to pump iron. That's what dealer Tom Durant did with his Classic Hummer store in Grapevine, Texas.
Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware was looking for a place to work out since the Cowboys' Valley Ranch facility was closed by the NFL lockout. Said Ware in a Sporting News article: "I know the owner, and he was gracious enough to let me turn the service area into a makeshift gym so I can stay in shape during the lockout."
A number of other Cowboys have joined Ware. "Working out at the Hummer dealer has been great," Ware said. "But I'm really looking forward to getting back inside Valley Ranch and being with all the guys."
