She is also responsible for development of the next generation of plug-in systems and vehicles. Chrysler is handling affiliate Fiat Group's vehicle electrification program as well. Chrysler abandoned its initial EV program after filing for bankruptcy in 2009; Iyengar must make up for that stoppage. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has said Chrysler will produce 56,000 electrified vehicles annually by 2014.
