DETROIT -- Jon Hall, a color and materials designer at Ford Motor Co. since 2005, died in an accident at his home, Ford spokesman Said Deep confirmed.
An internal Ford document said that Hall was killed in a "serious tractor accident at his farm on May 1."
Hall was the son-in-law of Chuck Jordan, former General Motors vice president of design. Jordan is credited with several of GM's notable designs in the 1950s and 1960s. He died last December at age 83.
Before joining Ford, Hall worked at BASF Corp., an automotive coating supplier.
