I read Keith Crain's comments about selling vehicles one at a time ("It still takes one sale at a time," May 16).
I am the owner of four dealerships and am fortunate to own one of the largest-volume Hyundai dealerships in America, Hyundai of New Port Richey.
Before becoming a dealer, I worked for Ford Motor Co. in the sales and marketing division of Lincoln Mercury. I thought back then that I understood the retail car business. I was wrong -- way wrong. I did not grasp the business until I became a dealer and realized that consumers buy new cars and trucks with emotion, one at a time.
