The auto is changing in profound ways to travel farther on less energy. In June, Automotive News is hosting back-to-back events -- the Green Car Conference and Electrifying 100 -- to explore electrification, new powertrains, consumer behavior and other aspects of the green revolution.
Nancy Gioia, director of global electrification at Ford Motor Co., will review the case for electric vehicles in a panel discussion at the Green Car Conference on June 14 in Novi, Mich.
Other panels will explore:
-- China's electric-car mandates and how they will drive global change
-- How automakers are rethinking the car to drive change in the future
-- What the industry is learning from consumers about electrics and hybrids
At Electrifying 100, executives, engineers and thinkers driving electrification will be recognized on June 13 in Dearborn, Mich.
In our June 13 issue, Automotive News will name the 100 most influential players in the global move to electric-powered vehicles. Because this new arena extends beyond the traditional automotive industry, startup automakers, battery companies, utilities, government officials and others will be part of the list.
