DETROIT -- Cooper Standard Automotive Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nishikawa Rubber Co. to expand their joint venture.
The partnership produces automotive sealing products in the United States and Mexico. The companies want to expand their partnership into other regions.
To do so, Nishikawa will sell a 20 percent interest in its Thailand sealing business and a minority share of its Myslenice, Poland, sealing business to Cooper Standard.
Cooper Standard, of suburban Detroit, produces sealants, fluid handling systems and anti-vibration products. The company employs 19,000 people in 18 countries.
