Pricing for Audi's 2012 A7 coupe-styled sedan will start at $60,125, including destination, when it debuts this month in U.S. dealerships, Audi of America said today.
The A7 has a turbocharged 3.0-liter, V-6 engine that generates 310 hp and is paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The A7 comes standard with all-wheel drive and gets a combined EPA-rated 22 mpg, Volkswagen's luxury brand said in a statement.
The five-door, four-seat sedan has heavily angled aluminum body panels and frameless doors along a 195.6-inch long steel frame. A rear spoiler lifts for stability at 75 mph, allowing the A7 to reach a top speed of 130 mph.
The 2012 A7 will be Audi's first vehicle to have Audi Connect, an optional telematics system that includes in-car Wi-Fi, audio, phone and navigation tools.
Three trim levels are available: Premium; Premium Plus, starting at $63,745; and Prestige, starting at $66,455. Prices include destination. The A7 will compete with other so-called coupelike sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz CLS, the BMW 6 series and the Lexus GS series, which is due for a redesign next spring.
