CLEVELAND -- Brush Engineered Materials Inc., maker of raw materials used in actuation switches, relays, sensors and ignition components, is changing its name to Materion Corp.
The name change takes effect March 8. The company says it chose a new name to reflect the expansion of its product lineup over the past 20 years. In 2010, sales, including automotive and nonautomotive products, totaled $1.2 billion.
Brush, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, supplies airbag sensors, auto dimming mirror coatings and mirror connectors, engine oxygen sensors and electronic power steering modules to Tier 1 suppliers and automakers.
