Three women received the Women's Automotive Association International Spirit of Leadership Award here Saturday evening.
This is the 15th year the group has honored women in leadership roles in the auto industry.
The group is partnering with nonprofit organizations and female dealers to encourage girls in elementary and middle school to pursue automotive careers.
This year's honorees are:
Rachel Richards, vice president of Sonic Automotive in Charlotte, N.C.
Annette Sykora, dealer principal at Smith South Plains (Ford-Lincoln-Dodge- Chrysler-Jeep-Ram) in Levelland, Texas.
Emily Miller, driver and off-road racer with Rod Hall Racing in Encinitas, Calif.
