IRN Inc., a Michigan data analysis and consulting firm, has started a joint venture with the Office of Automotive & Vehicle Research (OVAR), a research and consulting unit at the University of Windsor.
The partnership will focus on expanding both companies’ products and services into the Canadian automotive and transportation industries.
“IRN has historically focused on customers in the U.S. market and this will give us the opportunity to reach a new base of customers through the OAVR’s extensive network in Canada,” IRN CEO Kim Korth said in a statement.
The partnership will expand the services and geographic reach of both organizations, said the OAVR.
OAVR will market IRN’s forecast products to its clients within the Canadian automotive and trucking sectors as well as government agencies and trade associations. IRN will allow the OAVR access to its forecasting models and data capabilities.
IRN is known for its forecasting service, Autofutures. The OAVR is a unit of the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business.
The two organizations will continue to operate from their existing locations.
