Mini Financial Services launched a Web-based customer interface last week that enables Mini customers to make monthly payments and perform other tasks on their smart phones.
Functions of the new tool are similar to those of applications from other captive lenders, such as Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, and from big banks. But, unlike an app, there's nothing for customers to download to their phones.
The Mini system works with any smart phone that has access to the Internet. To use the remote system, though, the user must first set up a user name and password on their personal computer or laptop.
