I had the privilege of meeting Chuck Jordan at an Avanti Owners Association meet years ago in Dearborn, Mich.
He indeed had a passion for design and was gracious enough to discuss the Avanti, a Raymond Loewy design, not as a critic but as someone who appreciated design whatever its source.
He will surely be missed.
