MUNICH -- Airbiquity Inc. and Robert Bosch Car Multimedia GmbH, a unit of Robert Bosch GmbH, have set up a partnership to enable connected-vehicle services and offerings for Bosch's in-car multimedia systems.
The two companies are already working to deliver, for a customer, an in-car system that will provide connected-vehicle services in more than 16 countries in North America and Europe, as well as Russia.
Robert Bosch GmbH, of Stuttgart, ranks No. 2 on the Automotive News ranking of the top 100 global parts suppliers, with 2009 sales to automakers estimated at $25.62 billion. It makes fuel systems, chassis and brake systems, automotive electronics and steering systems.
Airbiquity, of Seattle, offers connected-vehicle services.
