DETROIT (Reuters) -- Automotive supplier Tenneco Inc.reported a third-quarter profit on Thursday as revenue jumped 23 percent.
Tenneco reported net income of $10 million versus a net loss of $8 million a year ago.
Adjusted for one-time items including restructuring expenses, the company earned $24 million, up from $3 million.
Revenue rose 23 percent to $1.54 billion during the latest period.
The company makes emission control and ride control systems, as well as replacement auto parts.
The company said the overall auto industry is recovering, but the speed of the rebound varies by region worldwide.
