Toyota's next Prius-badged hybrid looks a lot like the standard Prius, only bigger.
The company posted a photo on its Prius Facebook page last week showing a Prius with the silhouette of a larger, MPV-sized vehicle behind it. The photo was taken from a billboard sporting the caption: "The Prius family is getting a whole lot bigger."
Sources say the larger vehicle will be the next hybrid to carry the Prius nameplate -- the Prius-V.
Dealers who attended Toyota's national dealer meeting in Las Vegas on Oct. 6 were introduced to the upcoming siblings in the Prius family. Dealers said they were shown the Prius-V and a smaller model dubbed the Prius-C. Both are scheduled to go on sale by 2013.
The Prius-V is expected to debut at the Detroit auto show in January. Toyota has said that's where the Prius' first sibling will debut.
