KARIYA, Japan -- Denso Corp. will build a technical center in Gurgaon, India, to develop technologies for powertrains, small motors, information systems and safety systems.

The company will invest 3 billion yen ($35.5 million) in the facility, which will open at the end of 2011. The center will be operated by Denso International India Pvt. Ltd.
Denso, of Kariya, Japan, ranks no. 1 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers with parts sales to automakers worldwide of an estimated $28.73 billion in the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2010.
