DELHI, India -- A unit of Canadian supplier Magna International Inc. says it has formed a joint venture with India's Hero Motors Ltd. to produce drivetrains for recreational vehicles and Indian automakers.
Magna, Hero Motors form Indian joint venture
Hero Motors produces transmissions for all-terrain vehicles, boats and motorcycles, as well as chassis systems and castings for auto brake discs, hubs, knuckles, front-corner modules and rear axles.
Hero, of Delhi, supplies General Motors, Nissan, BMW, Toyota and others.
Magna Steyr India Pvt. Ltd. , of Pune, India, makes engines, drivetrains, electronics, seats, interiors and exteriors.
