North American car and truck production in September rose 13 percent from September 2009 to 1,097,319 units.
Car production fell 6 percent in the United States and 11 percent in Canada. Car output rose 34 percent in Mexico and 1 percent in all of North America.
Truck output rose 18 percent in the United States, 41 percent in Canada and 32 percent in Mexico. North American truck production rose 23 percent.
Vehicle output rose 8 percent in the United States, 13 percent in Canada and 33 percent in Mexico.
