AmTrust Financial Services Inc.'s Aug. 26 acquisition of extended service contract administrator Warrantech left the administrator's executive team intact, though some titles have changed.
AmTrust, a New York-based multinational insurance holding company, also is mulling whether to keep the Warrantech name and just how to integrate the Bedford, Texas, company into its other service contract operations. AmTrust has a study under way and intends to make decisions on issues such as branding by the end of 2010.
The purchase adds extended service plan administration to AmTrust's operations. Its AMT Warranty Corp. subsidiary underwrites extended service contracts.
