LOS ANGELES -- Kelley Blue Book, of Irvine, Calif., the authority on used-car values, is for sale, according to news reports.
According to the Financial Times, two bankers, whom it did not identify, claim to have knowledge of the potential sale. One said Kelley Blue Book is valued at $500 million to $1 billion.
Potential bidders, according to the report, include AutoTrader.com, Kohlberg Kravitz Roberts & Co., eBay and Google. Kelley Blue Book spokeswoman Robyn Eckard declined to comment.
