A suit filed by 17 customers who purchased uninsured tire-replacement policies from 13 Maryland dealerships has a shot at becoming a class action. But the parties will have to wait a while longer to find out.
A hearing on proposed class certification was set for this month but has been rescheduled for next January.
The suit, Jon Rendelman, et al, vs. Jaguar Land Rover Annapolis, et al, was filed in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County last year after the program's Dallas vendor, Millennium Protection Group Inc., went bankrupt. It alleges multiple charges — including fraud and breach of contract — against 13 Maryland dealerships, which deny the charges.
