DETROIT -- Federal-Mogul Corp. Chief Accounting Officer Alan Haughie has been named company CFO, the supplier said today.
Haughie, 46, will report directly to CEO José Maria Alapont and continue to be a member of the company’s strategy board.
The appointment comes a little more than a month after the resignation of former CFO Jeff Kaminski who resigned on May 11 after about 20 years with the company.
“Alan brings strong business knowledge, financial and strategic planning experience to this role,” Alapont said in a statement.
Haughie had been the company’s chief accounting officer and controller since 2005.
Prior to that, he was a corporate finance director and controller for the company’s European aftermarket business. He joined Federal-Mogul in 1994 after working in a number of audit roles with Ernst & Young L.L.P. in the United Kingdom.
Federal-Mogul, based in suburban Detroit, produces a variety of name brand original equipment and aftermarket parts such as pistons, rings, bearings, valves, gaskets and friction materials. The company ranks No. 47 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers with worldwide sales to automakers of $3.0 billion in 2009.
