So I've downloaded about a half-dozen dealership apps onto my iPhone.
Using AutoNation's app, you can search inventory, find a store, get quick price quotes and more. With Longo Toyota's app, you contact them by phone or e-mail. Several apps provide directions, allow users to make appointments and connect users to the dealership's social media platforms.
But the apps leave me with a lot of questions: Who downloads them -- loyal customers or random car shoppers? How much interaction actually happens through the apps? Do they generate new business? Should every sizable dealership or dealership group have one?
I'm curious what dealers out there -- with or without apps -- think about these same questions. Let me know.
