FRANKFURT -- Daimler AG and Renault SA are close to deciding on a broad partnership that would include a swap of small equity stakes, the Financial Times reported, citing unidentified sources close to the situation.
The paper quoted one person as saying the stakes could be about 3 percent, Reuters reported.
Daimler and Renault, which already has Nissan Motor Co. as an alliance partner, previously had said they were holding talks.
