European auto industry leaders including the heads of Opel, Ford of Europe and Saab-Spyker will speak at the Automotive News Europe Congress in June.
The theme of this year's Congress is "Solutions After a Crisis: Navigating out of a European Downturn."
The Congress will explore themes such as the challenge of lowering CO2 emissions while maintaining profits, reducing overcapacity and cooperation opportunities for automakers and suppliers.
Automotive News Europe Publisher Jason Stein said: "The industry is facing challenges and opportunities that are greater than ever. This year's Congress provides a forum to discuss these big issues and provide some fresh ideas."
The Congress will feature a lineup full of pan-European industry leaders, including Nick Reilly, CEO of Opel; John Fleming, CEO of Ford of Europe; Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker; Ian Robertson, sales and marketing chief at BMW; Burkhard Goeschel, chief technical officer for powertrains at Magna International; and Bill Kozyra, CEO of TI Automotive.
Arndt Ellinghorst, head of automotive research at Credit Suisse in London, will also give an overview of the financial health of European automakers.
The Congress takes place in Bilbao, Spain on June 22-23.
It also includes a tour at the newly opened Automotive Intelligence Center, which is managed by ACICAE-Basque Country Automotive Cluster and is located in Bilbao.
