Veteran automotive analyst Maryann Keller has joined the New York-based Casesa Shapiro Group as a senior adviser.
Keller, who had a 28-year career as a Wall Street auto analyst, heads her own consulting firm, Maryann Keller and Associates. Casesa Shapiro, which made the announcement in a statement, is led by John Casesa, a former head of Merrill Lynch's automotive practice.
Keller, 65, is the author of Rude Awakening: The Rise, Fall and Struggle to Recover at General Motors and Collision: GM, Toyota and Volkswagen and the Race to Own the 21st Century.
She is also a board member of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. In 2001, she was a member of a National Academy of Sciences panel that submitted a report on corporate average fuel economy to Congress.
