Hummer CEO Jim Taylor has picked three General Motors Co. executives to lead Hummer marketing before the brand's pending sale to China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery.
Russell Clark, 55, executive director of product marketing at Buick-Pontiac-GMC, was named national sales director for Hummer. Previously, Clark was director of Buick-Pontiac-GMC product planning and Chevrolet truck marketing.
John Gasloli, 42, was named head of global marketing and communications. He had been Hummer's national advertising and sales promotion manager.
Ayana Waddell, 30, was named national advertising director. Waddell was assistant manager of GMC advertising before joining Taylor's team. She joined GM in 2007.
Hummer spokesman Nick Richards said Modernista, of Boston, remains Hummer's advertising agency. But that could change after the sale to Tengzhong is complete.
The deal is contingent upon approval by the Chinese government. c
