Some auto shows are marked more by bluster than substance. Others actually capture the spirit of an era.
This year's Frankfurt show may just be one of those. Small cars are being rolled out in a way that confirms Ford product chief Derrick Kuzak's belief that the trend “is real and sustainable.” Same could be said for electric vehicles.
And at this show, for the first time since the collapse of Lehman Brothers a year ago, a budding sense that the industry may finally be stepping out of its funk.
