DETROIT -- GMC will price its new five-passenger Terrain crossover starting at $24,995, including shipping.
The Terrains release in September marks General Motors shift to include direct injection on mainstream models. Some of GMs performance and luxury models have included the technology, which improves fuel efficiency by spraying gasoline into an engine's cylinders to be mixed with air.
The lowest-priced Terrain features front-wheel drive. All-wheel-drive models start at $26,745. Models with the top trim level start at $29,995.
The Terrain offers a 2.4-liter engine and a 3.0-liter V-6 engine. Both engines use direct injection.
GMs plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, will build the Terrain.
