To the Editor:
In the May 4 issue, Keith Crain complains bitterly about the U.S. government's meddling in General Motors' business affairs ("Fed-run GM: A formula for disaster"). That is the price of getting billions of taxpayer dollars.
In the real world, when the public or unions pony up billions to save a failing business, we get to attach strings. Don't like it? Fine. Don't ask for a bailout.
