Bob Hogan, chairman of the Kia National Dealer Council, said Kia is positioned to prosper in a poor U.S. economy.
Kia Motors America Inc. went through a period of high management turnover, and now dealers enjoy working with Ahn Byung-mo, Hogan said. Since February, Ahn has been CEO of Kia Motors America, as well as the Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia LLC operation. Ahn also is president of parent Kia Motors Corp. That gives the U.S. subsidiary a lot of clout with the factory, Hogan said.
Special Correspondent Jim Henry interviewed Hogan, who has four Kia stores in the Southeast.
