Honda will launch a leasing campaign on TV in the next few weeks, said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co. "Leasing is a competitive advantage that Honda has because of the resale value of our product," Colliver said at the Detroit auto show.
He did not reveal details.
The leasing rate for the Honda brand is near 27 percent, Colliver said. For Acura, the rate is as high as 40 percent. Those rates should remain consistent, he said.
