Electronics supplier Alpine Electronics of America Inc. has won contracts to supply infotainment units on three redesigned 2010 model General Motors vehicles.
The Alpine systems are scheduled for the 2010 Buick LaCrosse sedan and Chevrolet Equinox and Cadillac SRX crossovers. The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
The systems include a single DVD/CD player for movies and audio and AM/FM radio with integrated XM Satellite Radio tuner.
Alpine supplies infotainment packages on the LaCrosse CXL and CXS models; the Equinox LT and LTZ models; and the Cadillac SRX.
Alpines Tokyo parent company is ranked No. 93 on the Automotive News list of top 100 global suppliers with worldwide sales to automakers of $1.75 billion in 2007.
