DETROIT -- James Vandenberghe, 58, vice chairman of Lear Corp. since 1998, has retired after 35 years with the auto supplier. He will spend a year as a consultant to the company.
In 1973, he joined predecessor company Lear Siegler Inc. as a financial analyst.
In 1988, Vandenberghe became CFO. Nine years later, he was promoted to COO for North American operations.
