Gallup Inc. has tapped longtime automotive executive Len Hunt to expand its automotive consulting business.
Gallup, known for its media polling and consulting services, announced Friday, June 20, that Hunt has joined the company as a partner at its office in Irvine, Calif.
Hunt, 52, left as CEO of Kia Motors America in February after just two months in that job. He had joined Kia in October 2005 as COO. Before that, he was with Volkswagen of America Inc.
"I have always believed in building and being a part of great places in which people can exercise their natural talents," Hunt said in a prepared statement today.
"Gallup is an organization that has consistently demonstrated through their research that those companies who embrace this philosophy not only enjoy sustained growth, but see real profit increases and greater stock value."
At Gallup, Hunt will report to Kelly Aylward, regional managing partner in Irvine.
"Len brings considerable leadership, sales and marketing experience to the company," Aylward said in a statement.
Hunt led Audi of America Inc. from 1999 to 2004. He spent five years with Audi of Britain after 15 years with Jaguar.
