The German automaker said a weak U.S. dollar compared with the euro affected Cayenne prices.

The Cayenne SUV model line is Porsches top seller in terms of volume. Unlike the rest of the industry, Porsches SUV sales are climbing as its car sales drag.
Porsche said it sold 1,192 units of the Cayenne in May, up 6.5 percent from the same month in 2007. Porsches car sales for the month were down 28.0 percent to 1,604.
Cayenne sales in the first five months are at 5,342 units, up 12.4 percent. At 7,904 units, Porsches car sales are 27.9 percent off the pace set in the first five months of 2007.
