Wholesale shipments of towable RVs and motor homes fell to 27,600 units in February, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association.
For the month, total shipments of RVs to retailers mirrored January's decline, falling 7.1 percent.
February shipments of towable RVs to retailers fell 4.0 percent to 24,100 units. Motor home shipments plummeted 23.9 percent to 3,500 vehicles.
Through the first two months of 2008, shipments to retailers of towable RVs and motor homes declined 7.1 percent from the year-earlier period, to 52,500 units.
The totals do not include conversion vehicles. The RV association stopped including those in its monthly shipment totals in October. Manufacturers of conversion vehicles have cut ties with the association.
