DETROIT -- Auction company ADESA Inc. said Thursday, Dec. 6, that it is providing the technology that operates Chrysler LLCs used-vehicle remarketing Web site.
Chrysler Direct enables Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers to view and buy factory-owned vehicles online before the vehicles are offered for sale to dealers at the companys closed auctions. Chrysler Direct was formerly known as DC Direct.
Dealers may purchase the vehicles by bidding on them or by agreeing to pay a set buy now price. The vehicles offered for sale are primarily off-rental and company lease vehicles.
ADESA operates a centralized call center and maintains an administrative staff to handle queries from Chrysler LLC dealers.
The new Chrysler Direct Web site offers state-of-the-art functionality and convenience to our dealers, Steven Solomon, Chryslers national closed-auction manager, said in a statement. We obtained significant dealer input while working with ADESA to upgrade the site.
ADESA also hosts Chrysler First, a Web site that offers Chrysler dealers an opportunity to buy retired rental cars and trucks before they reach traditional auction sites. Chrysler First was formerly known as DC First.
