To the Editor:
If you think for one minute I give a good rat's ass about what happened at Toyota for the last 50 years, think again.
The continuing promotion of the imports, supported by the U.S. government and the media, has put more Americans out of work, out of well-paying jobs, than any other action in the history of this country.
Toyota has one of the lowest domestic-content figures of any import; and if you think Toyota executives care anything for our workers or our country, you're amazingly naive. Toyota cares only about our money. When we are a third-rate economy because all our jobs are gone, it will dump us like an ugly prom date and move on, having won the war with cars, not bombs.
It is amazing to me that the jobs lost in America are unimportant to us, but they sure seem important to Japan, China, Korea, India, Sweden, Germany. Are we smart and those countries stupid? I think it is the other way around.
So am I interested in your Toyota brochure? No. Please put it where the Rising Sun never shines.
