LAS VEGAS -- Ford Motor Co. today unveiled here a slew of products, racing engines and vehicles at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show.
Ford showed two concept versions of the Flex sport wagon due next summer as a 2009 model. Again, Ford went to designer Chip Foose and urban disc jockey Funkmaster Flex to show what can be done to the boxy four-door wagon. The two already have designed limited-edition versions of an F-series pickup and an Expedition SUV that are due to start production next year.
Funkmaster Flexs version of the Flex features a brushed aluminum roof, two-tone paint, black leather seat covers with alligator print inserts as well as a long list of electronic gear.
Fooses version sports 22-inch wheels, lowered suspension, a blue-and-cream paint job and gray and tan leather seats.
Ford also has big plans for the Mustang.
