Infiniti dealers are waiting to hear what will replace the flagship Q45 sedan, which was dropped last year. Nissan Motor CEO Carlos Ghosn says the answer may be nothing.
Ghosn said last week at the Tokyo auto show that the company is considering the possibility that there will be no Q, leaving the M sedan as the brand's biggest.
"Do we need something above the M?" he asked rhetorically while chatting with reporters. "A lot of people would like to create something. I'm challenging them to make sure it's really a need."
He said the company will make a decision in 2008.
