Automotive database and staffing firm MSX International Inc. announced today it acquired Actuate Business Solutions Ltd., which provides a predictive marketing database service in Fleet, England.
Terms of the acquisition, which closed last Wednesday, were not disclosed except that the transaction involved a combination of cash and stock.
Actuate Business Solutions operates primarily in the United Kingdom and Portugal for clients like Lexus, Toyota, Nissan and various dealerships, but MSX plans to take the companys operation to a global level.
In a prepared statement, MSX CEO Peter Leger said the ABS acquisition is of particular value to auto dealers and OEMs. ABS manages a customer information database on car owners.
Through our acquisition of ABS, we can now offer our clients a state-of-the art (service) with valuable insight into their customers, and a tool to implement multiple marketing and business campaigns, Leger said.
ABS co-founder Rob Lewis will take a management position in MSXs Predictive Marketing Solutions division, reporting to Pieter van Rosmalen, vice president of solutions management and development.
Fellow co-founder Kevin Lewis no relation to Rob will coordinate the transition and integration effort with MSX management.
Headquartered in Warren, Mich., MSX posted annual revenue of $362 million in 2006.
