DETROIT -- Delphi Corp. says its power-products business is now considered a noncore operation. The power-products unit makes power liftgates, power deck lids, power sliding doors, and power cinching latches and strikers.
Management responsibility for the unit will be given to Delphi's Automotive Holdings Group, the unit handling operations that are being sold or closed.
Delphi said it will begin evaluating long-term decisions for the power-products business, including its potential sale. Delphi has been operating under Chapter 11 protection since Oct. 8, 2005.
