DETROIT -- Toyota leads vehicle brands in U.S. consumer satisfaction, a new survey concludes.
Toyota scored 87 out of a possible 100 points in the University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index. The survey measures perceptions of more than 5,000 vehicle buyers about quality, service and price. Toyota also finished first in last year's survey.
Close behind Toyota in the survey were Lexus, Honda and Buick, all with 86 points. At the bottom were Ford, Jeep and Kia, with scores of 77 points. The overall industry satisfaction score of 81points was the highest in the survey's 11-year history.
