The Japanese automakers have shifted their product development plans into high gear.
You name it, and if its not on the street today, it likely will be shortly. Among the trends:
- Attractive small cars topping 40 mpg.
- An array of models with hybrid powertrains, as well as a limited number of fuel cell vehicles.
- Crossovers in all sizes.
Nearly every Japanese automaker is expanding its product lines, and a few plan to offer models that the Big 3 and the Europeans arent even considering. For fun, Honda, Nissan and Lexus are all preparing high-performance cars that each hopes will knock the socks off the Chevrolet Corvette.
Vehicle plans for the 2007-10 model years for the asian automakers begin here.
