Honda confirmed last week that it plans to build a small jet for the United States.
The plane, called the HondaJet, will sell for less than $4 million, Reuters reports.
Honda has signed up Piper Aircraft Inc. to sell and service the planes.
The HondaJet will carry up to seven passengers. True to its culture of efficiency, Honda pledges better fuel economy than competitors' models.
The company hopes to start production in three or four years.
